Public readings of contemporary world literature performed by well known personalities at attractive and unusual venues in Prague and other cities across Europe.
Literature Night builds on the concept of literature being a unique creative medium which embraces the voices of individuals along with the values of the society they live in. The project aims to bring contemporary literature to the general public in an innovative way through a series of public readings and accompanying events.
The project is being coorganized and supported by the EUNIC cluster Prague (a network of foreign cultural institutes) and The Permanent Representation of the European Commission in Prague. Furthermore, thanks to the cooperation with the Association of librarians, Literature Night will take place for the second time in the same model in 23 other cities throughout the Czech Republic.
Literature Night in the Czech Republic is only in Czech language.
