Tiago Guedes
Born in Porto in 1971. As a filmmaker, he directed with Frederico Serra Coisa Ruim and Entre os dedos, which have been both screened in several international festivals. Previously, the short movies O ralo and Acordar, had already been distinguished in several national and international festivals. In 2013 he directed the short movie espécie de miragem incompleta.
For television, he directed the movie Alta Fidelidade (where he is also co-writer) and Cavaleiros de água doce, both for SIC, and O meu sósia e eu, for RTP. He also directed the awarded TV movie Noite Sangrenta and, more recently directed and co-wrote Odisseia, both of them for RTP.
Among the projects for theater which he directed or collaborated with, particular relevance is given to the translation and staging of Pillowman, by Martin McDonagh, at Teatro Maria Matos and Teatro Nacional S. João, and to Blackbird, by David Harrower, at Teatro Nacional D. Maria II and TECA.
