European Literature Night Edinburgh
Wednesday 15th May, 7pm
Free, all welcome

Edinburgh will celebrate European Literature Night for the second year with a smorgasbord of European writers, stories and chat.

This year, with the support of the Czech Centre, we're excited to welcome Czech writer Martin Reiner to talk about his story ‘Angel of Destruction’, among other things. We'll also be joined by Kapka Kassabova, novelist, poet and travel writer who was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, lived in New Zealand and travelled extensively. She now lives in Scotland. And Anikó Szilágyi, a translator and PhD student at the University of Glasgow. Her Hungarian translation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be published later this year by Evertype. There will be readings and conversation, and the opportunity to borrow from the Itinerant Poetry Librarian and her travelling library of European poetry delights.
